The Oversight Project conducted an in-depth probe of mobile advertising data to determine the movements of Thomas Matthew Crooks and his associates in the lead-up to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
Numerous devices "regularly visited" both the home and workplace of Crooks, the Oversight Project found. One of them, tied to a specific individual, also visited a building in Washington, D.C., located in Gallery Place near the offices of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on June 26, 2023.
Another device linked to Crooks also visited Plymouth, Mass., via a Pittsburgh to Boston flight in early March of this year. That device stayed at Hotel 1620 Plymouth Harbor from March 1-3, 2024.
Another device linked to Crooks' work traveled to Butler, Penn., on July 4 and July 8. That device stopped transmitting all activity on July 12, just a few weeks before Trump would hold a rally in Butler at which he reportedly got shot in the right ear.
Another device linked to Crooks visited Allegheny Arms & Gun Works, a gun store, on Aug. 30, 2023.
The following are all of the known relevant locations within Bethel Park, Penn., that are linked to the home and workplace of Crooks:

5) Tang Soo Do Karate College / Bethel Park Laundromat (Feb. 2024 - May 2024)
6) Flora Park Garden Center (Feb. 25, 2024).
7) South Park Golf Course (Jun. 2023 - Jun. 2024)
8) Planet Fitness (Feb. 2024 - May 2024)
At least nine devices linked to Crooks
All in all, advertising identification data linked at least nine devices to Crooks. The Oversight Project says it is willing to share its findings with "legitimate investigations" aimed at getting to the bottom of what happened.
"For the protection of whistleblowers and our investigation, we will not be sharing further information with the congressional task force due to the connective tissue between that entity and FBI, USSS, and other entities," the group said.

On X, some speculated that perhaps Crooks had a handler or two tied to the devices that traveled back and from his home and workplace to other key locations throughout the area.

"This rabbit hole just gets deeper and deeper," another said about the Crooks case.

"Even if you hired 10 men off the street with zero experience to provide security, they would have known there was a major issue long before he got on stage," someone said about how Secret Service completely dropped the ball at Trump's Butler rally.
"They knew and let it happen," responded another.
"Such a perfect roof!" commented another about what is shown in the above video. "You can see the roof from inside the building!"
