Former Democrat-turned-Republican Tulsi Gabbard, whose been nominated to be President Donald Trump’s Director of National Intelligence, appeared before the Senate Intelligence Committee Thursday for a tense confirmation hearing.

Infowars.com: During her opening remarks, Gabbard took a battle ax to the previous administration’s politicization of intelligence agencies, which she said were weaponized to attack political opponents like President Trump.

“The FBI and intelligence agencies were politicized by [President Trump’s] opponents to undermine his presidency and falsely portray him as a puppet of Putin,” she said. “Title One of FISA was used illegally to obtain a warrant to spy on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page using a Clinton campaign-funded false dossier as their so-called evidence.”

“Biden campaign adviser Tony Blinken was the impetus for the 51 former senior intelligence officials letter dismissing Hunter Biden’s laptop as disinformation specifically to help Biden win the election,” she continued.

She also slammed the disastrous invasion of Iraq as a huge failure for US intelligence agencies.

The former Democrat presidential candidate went on to “warn the American people” about Democrats’ attempts to slander her.

“Those who oppose my nomination imply that I am loyal to something or someone other than God, my own conscience, and the Constitution of the United States, accusing me of being Trump’s puppet, Putin’s puppet, Assad’s puppet, a guru’s puppet, Modi’s puppet, not recognizing the absurdity of simultaneously being the puppet of five different puppet masters. The same tactic was used against President Trump and failed. The American people elected President Trump with a decisive victory and mandate for change.

“But the fact is what truly unsettles my political opponents is I refuse to be their puppet.”

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) slammed Democrats for labeling Gabbard a “Russian asset.”

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) asked whether Gabbard had ever met members or leaders of the terror group Hezbollah, to which she scoffed, “No, and it is an absurd accusation.”

In a response she slammed the regime change operations in Syria and the incompetency of the Obama regime that spent taxpayer dollars training “moderate rebels” in the Middle East that eventually led to the creation of ISIS and Al Qaeda.

“I shed no tears for the fall of the Assad regime, but today we have an Islamist extremist who is now in charge of Syria, who danced on the streets to celebrate the 911 attack, who ruled over Idlib with an Islamist extremist governance, and who has already begun to persecute and kill and arrest religious minorities like Christians in Syria. Why that should be acceptable to anyone is beyond me.”

Sen Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) came unhinged and yelled at Gabbard as she tried to provide a response to his question.

Gabbard’s hearing went so well she received applause as she got up to leave.
