A fully jabbed CBS news anchor suffered a fatal brain aneurysm last week, leaving colleagues and family members in a state of shock.
Ana Orsini, who was fully vaccinated against COVID, suddenly dropped dead after receiving her scheduled winter vaccines.
Nypost.com reports: “Last week, we lost a beloved member of our KOLD news team. Ana Orsini was our anchor, a leader of the morning team, and most importantly a great friend to so many at the station,” co-anchor Cory Kowitz wrote on social media.
“I had the pleasure of working with her during the morning,” Kowitz wrote, adding: “Rest in peace Ana.”
Tyler Butler, a KOLD News 13 anchor, also paid tribute to Orsini.
“We had the opportunity to work with her every day, and we do want you to know that what you saw with her on air, the funny, crazy person she was, she was just like that off camera and more so,” he wrote on his Facebook account.
Carsyn Currier, a co-anchor of Orsini’s, mourned her as “not only beautiful, talented, and hilarious, but she was unlike anyone I’ve ever met.”
“To know Ana was to LOVE her,” Currier wrote on her Instagram account.
“She made everyone around her feel so special, heard and understood. Waking up in the middle of the night to go to work is always challenging, but knowing I was going to work with Ana made it that much easier.”
The Post has sought comment from Orsini’s family.
Orsini joined KOLD News 13 in June of last year. She began her career in Lubbock, Texas, after graduating from Texas A&M University in 2018.
The Denver, Colo. native also worked at KDRV NewsWatch 12 in Medford, Ore. before landing in Tucson.
